“Black Girl Magic is Black Women celebrating each other in spaces where we are normally ignored or pushed aside. Black Girl Magic means having a boss with a Doctorate that wears big Hoop earrings to work. Black Girl magic feels like the warmth of a hug from your favorite school teacher who remembers your name years after they’ve taught you. Black Girl Magic looks like women of all ethnicities and cultures attempting to copy the innovation and genius of Black women’s fashion, style, and presence. Black girl magic is every black woman that continues to shine in spite of not getting the credit we deserve. We are magic.” - Jasmine Gillispie
